-Billie Eilish has been one busy lady since releasing her debut album last month. Music critics have repeatedly compared her style and cultural impact to grunge pioneers 

Nirvana, and as fate would have it, footage of Billie covering “Smells Like Teen Spirit” last year has surfaced online. Check it out.

-Billie Eilish has reacted to Dave Grohl’s comments comparing her to Nirvana, after he stated that she was an authentic rock star that incites the same kind of devoted fandom as his former band. Speaking to Radio X, Eilish has now reacted to the Foo Fighters frontman’s comments and it’s safe to say she’s pretty pleased with the comparison.

She said: “I can’t even believe that. Are you kidding? He said rock isn’t dead because of me. Dude, I grew up on that shit. Huh? Rock? Like, I can’t.”  The singer went on to talk about Dave’s family, adding: “Dave is such a sweetheart and his daughters, I love them. And he’s so good, of course they’re good, ‘cos he’s, fucking, their dad.”

The 17-year-old singer is too young to have seen Nirvana herself given Kurt Cobain’s died in 1994, but she admits she listens to their music all the time.
She added: “I feel like you hit your rock phase and then it doesn’t really go away. I’m still listening to My Chem, Green Day, Nirvana and Foo Fighters.”
