The band Kurt Cobain called the best in the world

Imagen
- The band Kurt Cobain called the "best in the world" - Grunge rock’s most attractive and romantic frontman, Kurt Cobain, had a penchant for the ugly, the obscene, and the poetic. He was sort of a walking dichotomy; he hated the mainstream, he hated fame, but he also wanted both.   When Nirvana started touring , Cobain took initiative and worked diligently to make music his career. Cobain didn’t really have anything else but music and, prior to the band taking off commercially, he had worked as a janitor at his old high school and was also homeless and lived under a bridge for a while. In addition to his music, Cobain also drew and painted pictures; his art frequently incorporated themes of anorexia, death, and mental illness – all of which Cobain flirted with at some point in his life. In his worst times, Cobain was heavily malnourished and while his height was 5 feet and 9 inches, he weighed around 120 to 130 pounds. Later in his life, Cobain became a known heroin user

K. Novoselic reveals he can't watch "Heart Shaped Box" video: ‘It Conjures Emotions’.

- Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic discussed the “Heart Shaped Box” video. “Dreams are the royal road to the unconscious.” Sigmund Freud Perhaps music videos can provide a similar path? - I have to admit something. I do not like to watch the Nirvana “Heart Shaped Box” video. After all these years, it still conjures a jumble of emotions for me. It is an obvious allegory, and it’s up to the viewer to interpret what it means. In other words; don’t expect me to tell you what I think the video is about. However, the Nirvana video is fair game as it is an artistic statement, and therefore people are going to react. Just watched the new Father John Misty video “Total Entertainment Forever” and my interpretation of the work conjures the “Heart Shaped Box” video—this new video affected me. - Taschen is offering high quality prints of this image taken by David Bailey. However, Father John Misty’s video became less personal when I realized the images are of clowns crucifying the late Shannon

WATCH: The probable Nirvana biopic with Brad Pitt in 1999, but Courtney Love declined..

- If you shout your possible biographical film about Nirvana with Brad Pitt as Kurt Cobain. Former wife Courtney Love, however, disagrees. The wave of musical biographies that have been reaching the general public in recent months has not stopped. After the successful Bohemian Rhapsody in Queen, and The Dirt in Mötley Crüe, now I could also go to biopic in Nirvana. At the moment we have nothing certain, only rumors, about the realization of the film about the very famous rock band of the 90s. The particular thing that is wasted is the voice in relation to the name of the actor who will play Kurt Cobain, the leader Nirvana leader who died on April 5, 1994. And among the many names, the one that appeared most was Brad Pitt. A vague conformity (particularly with Pitt when he was young) is undeniable. But there are those who have launched against this possibility. Haz was personally personalized with Curtney Love, Cobain's ex-wife and the leader of the Hole, at a recent event with GQ.

Let’s end the stigma and shame towards the struggle with mental health.” Frances Bean Cobain signed off the series of posts by including the telephone number for the US National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – 1-800-273-8255. To coincide with this, we have included some relevant mental health charities below. Here’s the image Cobain shared of her father. While she didn’t include any information about the date or his age, he sure d

Kurt Cobain didn’t like what Guns N’ Roses “stood for”, says Metallica’s Kirk Hammett

- - Nirvana were approached to open for Metallica and the Roses on their co-headline tour, but Cobain “just wasn’t having it” Kurt Cobain “didn’t like what Guns N’ Roses stood for”, according to Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett. While taking part in the latest instalment of NME‘s ‘Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?!’ series, Hammett recalled embarking on a co-headline tour with Axl Rose and co. back in 1992. Hammett was quizzed on which band had turned down the offer to open for Guns N’ Roses and Metallica at those shows, and he correctly answered with Nirvana. “I had to make the phone call to Kurt [Cobain] to talk to him about the possibility of joining our tour,” Hammett remembered, “and he just went on and on about how he just didn’t like what Guns N’ Roses stood for and I said to him: ‘Just go out there and represent Nirvana – just play the show and then that’s it’. “I pleaded with him, but he just wasn’t having it. So there you have it. It would have been great if Nirvana wa

How Duff McKagan buried the feud with Kurt Cobain.

- The feud between Nirvana and Guns N’ Roses is a notorious one. Whilst the war would never surpass the verbal, it’s still one of the most famous from the 1990s and in rock history, as the two groups represented an antithesis of one another.  Guns N’ Roses were unapologetic in their excess and had more in common with the ’80s hair metal scene than they did the grunge movement. In many ways, Nirvana and their Seattle peers were a stylistic reaction to this kind of music and off-stage behaviour, so there was no surprise, given their status, that the two would eventually come into contact and conflict. However, it wasn’t as simple as that, and perhaps, the feud had a lot to do with Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain provoking Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose. After Nirvana released their sophomore album,  Nevermind , in September 1991, they were the biggest band on the planet, and everybody wanted a piece of them.  - Their music was so refreshing that Rose even stated that he was a fan of the

Krist Novoselic Officially Changes Name To “That Other Guy From Nirvana”.

Imagen
- Krist Novoselic, the long suffering bass player from the band Nirvana, has officially changed his name to “That Other Guy From Nirvana”.  Novoselic was a founding member and bass player for Nirvana for the entire duration of the band. However, he was overshadowed by the other two members of the band, Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl.  - Grohl “I was sick of everyone calling me that other guy from Nirvana” said Novoselic. “So I decided to make it official and change my name. Being the bass player in a band is hard enough but when you are in a band with a genius like Kurt Cobain you are completely over looked. That is understandable and I could deal with that, but then the drummer over shadows me. That is a little hard to take. A guy that beats on things for a living ends up becoming like the biggest rock star on the plant. Who the heck even knew Grohl could sing, play the guitar and write songs, WTF. He wasn’t even an original member of the band.” - Nirvana was formed in Aberdeen, Wash
